What To Do Before You Start Playing Basketball

It is always important to stay fit and healthy. To play basketball this is very important because you don't want to get hurt while playing. You can pull a muscle or get a serious injury if you are not in good condition. Maintaining a healthy diet and a sturdy body is the key for a successful athlete. This applies to all sports, but in particular to basketball. You have to be agile, have good reflexes, be able to move around quickly, and always be alert when playing.

While maintaining a good diet, you have to exercise before you play basketball. What I recommend that you should do is first is stretch your arms and legs. Next run a few laps so that your legs aren't stiff. Once you finish running do some jumping jacks, sit-ups, and push-ups. Make sure that your legs are flexible and ready to move around. Your legs play a huge role in basketball because that's what keeps you moving. Another thing you should do is lift some weights. Lifting weights will give you strength in your arms and will help you build muscle. If you don't own weights, then do some more push-ups to help you strengthen your arms. Finally after you finish exercising, you can jump right in and play a game of basketball!
