First Spot For Playoffs Goes To ...

Golden State Warriors! The Warriors got a very early spot to the 2016 playoffs on Saturday night. When the Houston Rockets lost to the San Antonio Spurs The Warriors were already guaranteed a spot in the playoffs. It is the earliest that any team has gotten into the playoffs in NBA history, and beating the 1986 Boston Celtics by only one day. Not only have they landed a spot for the playoffs, but they were also the fastest team to 50 wins. That same day the Warriors played against Oklahoma City Thunder, and it was a very intense game. At the end of the first quarter, Oklahoma was ahead by ten points, 30-20. By the end of halftime, Oklahoma was still ahead by eleven points, 57-46. In the third quarter, the score was 83-78 with Oklahoma still ahead. At the end of the fourth quarter both teams tied, 103-103. Stephen Curry made the last winning shot with a big three pointer. It was about 35 feet away from the basket. That is an incredible shot to make with only a few seconds left. The Warriors are doing really good in this season and will continue on playing their hardest.
