Retiring Kobe

Most of you may know that this is Kobe Bryant's last season playing. He will be retiring once this season ends. He says that once he retires he does not want to be a coach because he wants to tell stories of his journey to others. Bryant has been playing professional basketball for 19 years, which is a pretty good amount of time. Kobe, also known as the "Black Mamba", is retiring for a couple of reasons, but these are the two main reasons. One big reason is that he has many injuries. He has had many injuries and many surgeries, and isn't as fit as when he started playing at the age of 18(Now 37). Another reason is that even though he is young, he's to old to be playing basketball. This branches back to his health because to play you have to be real fit. Once you start aging it is harder and harder. This shooting guard has had an incredible journey. Along the way he won 5 championships, 2 MVP awards, 17 All-Star awards, and much more. Tune in today at 6:30 to see the Kobe and the Lakers play against the Houston Rockets.
